What is it going to take to plant churches in Russia and beyond? With the rapid pace of change in our world, the strategies used even just ten years ago to plant churches are largely outdated. New approaches need to be developed.

One place that can happen is by getting leaders together who share a heart and vision for church planting. These type of gatherings can serve as an incubator for fresh ideas and provide not only a training ground, but also a forum where new approaches to starting churches can be discussed and developed.

The ultimate goal is to help MORE churches take shape filled with MORE people who want to become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.

To help be a catalyst for new churches, our mission is taking a multi-faceted approach:

1. Exploring new opportunities to plant churches in Moscow and other cities.
2. Fostering the vision for planting new churches by sponsoring training events that will prepare leaders to reach others for Christ.
3. Providing printed resources for church leaders.
4. Expanding our network to partner with those who share our commitment to planting churches and training leaders.

God definately works in awesome ways.  As only God can, he connects people at just the right moment.  We saw this firsthand recently during our summer trip to Russia in 2008. 

On this trip, my wife and I crossed paths with Yuri and Katya. They just so happened to be visiting the church where I was speaking about our desire to see more new churches planted in Russia. Afterwards, Yuri shared with me that they have for some time been interested in starting a church in their home. They are in the final stages of building their home which has a hall that could hold eighty or more people. Another Christian family nearby is also open to partnering in a new church effort.
